I’m excited for 5 PM today. Earlier this week I signed myself up for a class at The Camera Company. It’s just entry level stuff I’m sure but one has to start somewhere. Hopefully I’ll take a few useful things out of it and learn some neat tricks.

Yesterday I went golfing and my girlfriend Melissa had a pool party with friends. I tried calling her after golfing but we had a bad connection and the background noise at the pool made it very difficult to hear each other. Eventually the call dropped and she tried calling me back but I missed the call and it went to voicemail. The first part of the transcription is her and makes sense but the rest is the background noise at the pool since she must have missed the end call button.
Hello, I’m just trying to calling your phone. I didn’t hear a lot but call me back. I am. Well, hey, peace. Hey private has a lot. Bye. He is really like. I don’t know if this is Missy, hey. Rudy he’s trying to you, hey. It is. Hello. Well, orders. Hello. Hey Yeah, ha.
Valiant effort Google Voice lol

So today I got this email for a class action lawsuit against SiriusXM satellite radio.
If You Subscribed to Sirius, XM, or Sirius XM Radio
You Could Get Benefits From a Class Action SettlementPara una notificación en Español, llamar 1-800-760-6247 o visitar www.SatelliteRadioSuit.com
Read this message carefully. Records show you subscribed to Sirius XM Radio. We are sending this e-mail to tell you about the proposed Settlement of a class action that may affect your legal rights. Go to www.SatelliteRadioSuit.com for a detailed notice about the proposed Settlement. There is a class action lawsuit against Sirius XM concerning the July 28, 2008 merger that created Sirius XM. The lawsuit claims this merger violated federal antitrust laws and that Sirius XM raised its prices as a result of the merger. Sirius XM denies it did anything wrong.
Who’s Included? You are included in the Class if you were a Sirius, XM, or Sirius XM subscriber anytime from July 29, 2008 to July 5, 2011 and you paid: (1) the U.S. Music Royalty Fee; or (2) a monthly multi-radio charge of $8.99; or (3) a $2.99 monthly Internet access charge if you previously did not pay to access Sirius XM’s content over the Internet.
What Does the Settlement Provide? Under this proposed Settlement, Sirius XM has agreed it will not raise the price of its base subscription plan and certain other prices through the end of 2011. Additionally, subscribers with long term plans (excluding lifetime subscriptions) will be permitted to restart their plan at current rates before December 31, 2011. After approval of the Settlement, former subscribers will also be permitted to either (a) reconnect their satellite radio without paying a reactivation fee and receive one month of service at no cost; or (b) receive one month of Sirius XM Internet streaming service at no cost. The estimated value of the Settlement is $180 million. The Settlement does not provide for cash payments to the Class.
How to Get Benefits? Current subscribers scheduled to renew before December 31, 2011 do not need to do anything. Current subscribers who are scheduled to renew after December 31, 2011 and who want to restart their long term plan at current rates as well as former subscribers who want to reconnect service or receive streaming service should go towww.siriusxm.com/blessingclassaction.
What Are Your Options? If you do not want to be legally bound by the Settlement, you must exclude yourself from it. The deadline to exclude yourself is July 5, 2011. If you do not exclude yourself, you will release all claims against Sirius XM concerning any conduct arising out of, based on, or relating to the merger that created Sirius XM. If you stay in the Settlement Class, you may object to it by July 11, 2011. The detailed notice, available at the website or by calling the toll-free number, tells you how to exclude yourself or object. The Court will hold a hearing on August 8, 2011, to consider whether to approve the Settlement and a request by Class Counsel for attorneys’ fees and costs up to $13 million, plus interest. You may appear at the hearing, but you don’t have to. You may also hire your own attorney, at your own expense, to appear or speak for you at the hearing, but you don’t have to.
Do not call or write to Judge Baer for information.

Wow no we didn’t do anything wrong. We merged the only 2 satellite radio companies there are and then immediately jacked our prices lol. This would be my 4th class action lawsuit I’ve been a part of so far. The other one’s I’ve been in are State Farm Insurance, Trans Union and EA Games.

Today I was checking out Verizon’s return policy since I’m interested in the iPhone4 but after reading it I don’t think i’ll be going to Verizon anytime soon. Below is just a few of my favorite parts of the policy with my translations added.
A restocking fee of $35 ($70 for netbooks and tablets) applies to any return or exchange of a wireless device (excluding Hawaii).
Translation: This is an easy way to make a quick $35.00 and to discourage you from returning your phone. If you live in Hawaii then you are clearly awesome and we would never charge you a restocking fee.
You may terminate service for any reason within 14 days of activation. If you purchased a wireless device at a promotional price at the time of activation, you must return it within the device return period to avoid being assessed an Early Termination Fee of $175, or $350 if you purchased an Advanced Device. You will remain responsible for your Activation Fee unless you terminate service within three days of activation.
Translation: Don’t even think about returning that iPhone4 when the new model comes out you little bitch or we’re gonna rape your ass for the $350 early termination fee. Also you better drive your ass all over the state or country in 3 days or less to figure out if coverage is ok. Otherwise with the restocking fee AND activation fee you owe us $70 and we will not hesitate to send you to collections over this you dead-beat motherfucker.
If you return your merchandise, even by mistake, after the return period, you will not receive a refund and the merchandise you returned will not be returned to you.
Translation: If you’re dumb enough to return your phone after 14 days we will straight up rob you and keep your phone.
Because the FCC requires that nearly all wireless devices on a carrier’s network have GPS capability, Verizon Wireless does not allow non-GPS wireless devices to be activated on our network. If you upgrade from a non-GPS-capable wireless device to a GPS-capable wireless device and then return it within the return period, Verizon Wireless will not allow the older non-GPS-capable wireless device back on our network.
Translation: If we are lucky enough to get your old cheap ass phone off our network and you change your mind we are never gonna let you go back to that cheap ass phone.
